1) Overview
Perceptive is a control application for a dental motor system, developed by Lares Research (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The app offers optional voice commands and may request RECORD_AUDIO microphone permission to enable that feature.
We are committed to privacy, collect only what is necessary, and do not sell personal data. This policy meets Google Play’s requirements and aligns with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, where relevant).
2) Information We Collect
2.1 Microphone / Audio Input (for Voice Commands)
- What: Audio from your device microphone only while you actively use voice commands.
- Purpose: To recognize your spoken command and trigger corresponding in-app control actions.
- Processing: All audio is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted, uploaded, or shared externally.
- Storage: We do not retain raw audio recordings or transcripts beyond the immediate processing window.
Control: You can disable voice commands at any time in the app settings and/or deny microphone permission in your device Settings. The core app functionality (excluding voice input) remains available.
2.2 Device & App Diagnostics
- Device model, OS version, app version, basic diagnostics (e.g., crash logs and performance data).
- Used solely to operate and improve the app; collected in aggregated or de-identified form wherever feasible.
2.3 No Advertising Identifiers
Perceptive does not use advertising SDKs, personalized ads, or advertising identifiers.
3) How We Use the Information
- Enable and improve voice command accuracy and responsiveness.
- Operate, maintain, and enhance app functionality and reliability.
- Diagnose and remediate crashes, bugs, and performance issues.
We do not use your data for profiling or targeted advertising.
5) Legal Basis (EU/EEA/UK where applicable)
- Consent: Microphone access / voice commands (you can withdraw any time).
- Legitimate Interests: App diagnostics and security (balanced against your rights and expectations).
6) Data Retention
- Audio used for voice commands is processed in real time and not retained after processing.
- De-identified diagnostics may be retained to support quality, safety, and reliability improvements.
7) International Transfers
No audio data is ever transferred internationally because it never leaves your device.
8) Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent for voice commands at any time.

How to revoke microphone access: Open your device’s Settings → Apps → Perceptive → Permissions → Microphone → Deny.
9) Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continuously improve our safeguards.
10) Children’s Privacy
Perceptive is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us so we can delete it.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-app.
