PowerLase® User Feedback Back

"I have been using the Powerlase for over 1 year. Everytime I use the laser, I am amazed at how much easier and stress free my procedures are. I am able to complete single visit Cerec procedures that even require gingival and osseous removal. I can quickly and comfortably complete composites without giving anesthetic. It has allowed me to become more efficient with the my chair time. Since I purchased the laser, my new patient flow has doubled. I could not imagine practicing without my Powerlase."

"Hi Jeff,

I don't know how much you owe on your MD, or is it the Waterlase that you have?  In anycase, if Lares offers you a good buyout as they did for me this is simply a no brainer.  Get rid of it.  The Biolase is okay when it works, which in my case was rarely.   But even when it is fully operational, with a new trunk fiber and handpiece mirrors, it is a joke compared to the Lares.  I've had my Lares now for almost 3 weeks, and I can't wait to go to work now.  It's a whole new world.  I've been using hard tissue lasers since their inception, I still have the original Premier in a box at the office.  The Lares is the first that really does what I had hoped + a whole lot more.  I had fear in me everytime I turned my MD on.  Sure if you were very careful, cleaned and dried the handpieces, replaced the tips when even the slightest microscopic divot could be seen then it worked fine.  But who has the time.  I just want to work on teeth, not on the machine.  It's true the girls can look after such things, but that's a waste of their valuable time as well.  If I really wanted piece of mind, I would have to pay Schein/Biolase, 4800 a year to keep that thing running.  Well forget that!  Don't spend another good dollar on it.  ILT also buys back Lasers to resell in other countries, you may speak with them. Don't worry about power settings, you can cut faster more comfortably with this laser then any other.  I know, I've had them all in my office, MD, Versawave, Opus.  I would have actually bought the Hoya, before the Biolase, but they gave me a great seemed like a great deal on the MD.  Well needless to say I'm grateful to Lares for getting me out of the Biolase nightmare.   Now it's all fun and games.  Especially with versatility that the NdYAG option gives you.  Soft tissue applications are highly superior with the ND."

“The PowerLase® is AWESOME!!! Just this morning we completed 17 (yes, 17) cervical Class V composite restorations in 4 quadrants on one of our patients (himself a physician) in one hour with no anesthesia. Very, VERY impressive. The preps, secondary to acid erosion, were conservative, comfortable and the etch with no smear layer was incredible. What a benefit; and at $195.00 per surface, you do the math on the return on investment (that’s around $3300 for 1 hour with no lab overhead). We have also used it for some simple soft tissue procedures with excellent results.

So far we have treated over a dozen patients: all to rave reviews. One 80 year old exclaimed “that rocked”, another patient was in awe and told us he had “lived long enough to see another miracle: dentistry without shots!” Others have told us: they “can’t wait for their next filling”; that they are “so thankful that we invest in the best technology on their behalf” and “that was the easiest appointment I’ve ever had.” Lares is definitely making a hero out of me: thanks so much.”
