The World's Most
Versatile Dental Laser
Start By Combining Dentistry's Two Best Wavelengths – Er:YAG & Nd:YAG
– In a Single Convenient System

Until now, utilizing dentistry's two best laser wavelengths meant the inconvenient use of two discreet laser systems, compromising the efficiency and quality of patient treatment. Today, the PowerLase® AT lets you quickly change wavelengths with the simple press of a button. Now you can combine the hard tissue efficiency of Er:YAG with the soft tissue precision of Nd:YAG to give every patient the very best possible care.
| Wavelength (nm) | Characteristics |
| Er:YAG (2940) | Efficient, comfortable (enamel, dentin, composite) hard tissue ablation |
| Nd:YAG (1064) | Precise, efficient soft tissue ablation with excellent coagulation |
Maximize Your Versatility with
Variable Pulse Concentration (VPC ) Technology
By varying the duration of each pulse of laser energy, and by concentrating the shape of each pulse, the PowerLase® AT delivers unprecedented laser versatility, precision, performance, and safety.
Pulse Concentration
Unlike other lasers utilizing energy pulses with slow rise times and long tails, the PowerLase® AT Er:YAG and Nd:YAG pulse energy is concentrated in an efficient square pulse shape for maximum energy utilization and treatment precision.
Variable Pulse Duration
Most dental lasers offer the clinician only one pulse duration, limiting treatment options. The PowerLase® AT allows the clinician to vary both Er:YAG and Nd:YAG pulse duration with the simple touch of a button. VPC technology - another way in which the PowerLase® AT lets you raise your patients standard of care.

Increased Patient Comfort
Eliminating patient sensitivity durning cavity preparation is all about minimizing the transfer of heat to the tooth. Only PowerLase® AT VPC technology minimizes heat transfer allowing you to thrill your patients with more no-shot cavity preparations.
Efficient Energy Delivery and VPC Technology
Enable the PowerLase® AT™ To Cut Faster
Than Any Other Laser in Dentistry

Begin with an industry leading 20 watts of power, apply VPC technology to optimize pulse shape and duration, then deliver the energy through the exclusive Freedom-Balanced articulated arm. The result is a hard tissue cutting machine that for the first time in laser dentistry can surpasses the ablation rate of the highspeed handpiece.
When laser ablation is faster than heat diffusion no unnecessary heat is deposited into the tissue. When laser ablation is slow the generated heat has time to diffuse into the tissue. Control of laser pulse duration with Lares VPC technology is essential for efficient and effective laser-based dentistry, since shorter laser pulses provide faster ablation with minimal thermal side effects.
A Quality Cut Prepares You for a Quality Preparation
The efficient, cold, optical cutting performance of the PowerLase® AT VPC technology leaves a preparation surface perfect for your best quality restoration. VPC shaped pulses leave a clean, smear layer-free restoration surface with open dentinal tubuli-not possible with handpieces and burs. This finish serves to increase ultimate restoration strength.

The Ultimate Laser For All Tissue Performance
Freedom-Balanced Articulated
Arm
for Dentistry's Fastest
Hard Tissue Cutting

The PowerLase® AT Freedom-Balanced articulated arm and handpieces use 7 precision mirrors to transmit Er:YAG laser energy 10-15 times more efficiently than alternative methods such as fibers and hollow waveguides. This technology, along with an industry leading 20 watt power supply and proprietary VPC technology, establishes the PowerLase® AT as the first and only dental laser to actually cut tooth faster than a highspeed handpiece. Unlike fibers and hollow waveguides, the PowerLase® AT™ articulated arm will deliver years of reliable service.

The PowerLase® AT offers both contact (A) (included) and non-contact (B) (included) Er:YAG handpieces with integrated triple-port water spray. Constructed from rugged titanium, the handpieces may be heat sterilized between patients.
High Quality Optical Fiber & Contact Handpiece for Precise Soft Tissue Ablation

The PowerLase® AT optimizes soft tissue procedures through the efficient transmission of Nd:YAG laser energy through the highest quality fiber available. The PowerLase® AT optical fibers transmit up to an industry leading 15 watts of Nd:YAG laser energy allowing unmatched soft tissue performance.

The PowerLase® AT Nd:YAG handpiece is sleek, light weight and perfect for delicate soft tissue procedures. Two cannula tips are provided - one standard length and angulation plus an extended, straighter version for easier posterior access.

A wide variety of quartz and sapphire contact tips are easily changed at chair side.

Justifying Your PowerLase® Investment
How to Raise the Standard of Care For Your Patients With A Laser
At No Cost To Your Practice
There is no doubt the PowerLase® AT will allow you to raise the standard of care for your patients with:
- Improved patient comfort during procedures and post-operative
- New treatment options
- More conservative dentistry
- Faster healing times
The PowerLase® AT Represents a substantial technology investment. The question then becomes for many dentists, “I want to raise my standard of patient care, but how can I afford it?”
Lares Research is ready to show you how you can raise the standard of care for your patients with a laser, at no cost to your practice. Our professional laser specialists will work with you to perform a simple financial analysis of your practice.
During this financial analysis, your Lares laser specialist will provide a full menu of procedures commonly performed with the PowerLase® AT including the average fees billed by dentists nationwide. You will select those procedures from the menu that you are willing to perform for your patients (after appropriate laser training). You will then estimate the number of times each month you will perform these procedures. Your Lares specialist will then calculate the additional revenue laser ownership will generate for your practice. In almost every case, these fees exceed the monthly payment for the laser and the laser will cost your practice nothing!
